At once-ness
Global/Western science has categorized everything into animate or inanimate, particle or wave, either/or. Within Blackfoot knowledge nothing is inanimate, everything is alive. Everything is made of and is connected by energy, it is not either a wave or a particle, but an interconnected Flux that we call spirit. This energy/spirit is constantly in flux, it changes depending on what it connects or comes into relationship with.
The word for dog in English is a noun, making it a static object, but in Blackfoot, Imitaw (dog) acts like a verb to embrace the motion/energy of the living being. Indigenous languages connect the songs of the land and cosmos with their constant Flux and relationship to the speaker.
