Ready, Set, Robot!

Ready, Set! Series

Computer science for grades 4-11

A series of unique coding and technology experiences in your classroom!

The Ready, Set... Computer Science programs are designed for everyone, from students who think coding might not be for them to students who already love the computer sciences. As an extra treat, Spark’s resident robo-dog, Flint, will visit to inspire and celebrate!

Available to schools within a 50KM radius of TELUS Spark Science Centre.

  • 1 DAY | GRADES 4-9
  • $395 PER CLASS

Ready, Set...Code!

A full day of coding fun, where students learn the foundational elements of block or python code with computational thinking and logic exercises. They will create an interactive computational artifact with cross-curricular connections and work with hands-on robotics or micro-controllers. A great option for teachers who want a quick introduction to coding in their classrooms.
Ready, Set...Code has a minimum booking of three residencies within the same week.

Classes may include up to 30 students.

Ready, Set...Robot!

Students get an introduction to the inspiring world of coding, technology and robotics through a motivational project-based experience. Classes will participate in a series of coding and robotics workshops that expands their understanding and level of comfort with basic coding concepts. The week will consist of exploring the connections between hardware and software, foundational concepts within coding languages, coding literacy, de-bugging code and the design process – all directed towards a final project that students will present on the last day of the week-long residency.
Ready, Set...Robot includes 18 hours of instruction, adaptable to your class schedule.

Classes may include up to 30 students.
