Put your team's innovation, problem-solving, and teamwork to the test in this fast-paced design challenge inspired by the legendary Rube Goldberg. Armed with a mix of everyday materials, your mission is to engineer the most elaborate, inventive, and functional "Robot Trap"—a whimsical contraption designed to capture a pesky, mouse-sized robot.
But here’s the catch: perfection isn’t the goal—iterative design, creative risk-taking, and teamwork are! This challenge will push teams to brainstorm, prototype, test, and refine their designs under the guidance of a dynamic facilitator. The grand finale? A high-energy showdown where teams unveil their contraptions and celebrate their successes (and spectacular failures!).
Teams are encouraged to record and share their final creations—celebrate your team’s ingenuity and have a keepsake of the experience!
