This summer, take a byte out of the future and experience AI like never before at TELUS Spark Science Centre with the Barbican Centre’s exhibition AI: More Than Human, starting June 1 and running until September 8, 2024!
With digital media, immersive art installations and a chance for visitors to interact directly with exhibits to experience AI’s capabilities firsthand, this exhibition examines the subject from multiple global perspectives and give visitors the tools to decide for themselves how to navigate our evolving world. It will ask the big questions: What does it mean to be human? What is consciousness? Will machines ever outsmart humans? And how can humans and machines work collaboratively?
From its extraordinary ancient roots in Japanese Shintoism and early experiments in computing, to AI’s major developmental leaps from the 1940s to the present day, explore how the dream of creating intelligence has become today’s reality.
This isn't just about robots and algorithms – it's about exploring the essence of humanity’s existence in the digital age.
Exhibition curated and organized by the Barbican Centre. The City of London Corporation is the owner, founder, and principal funder of the Barbican Centre. Co-produced by Groninger Forum, Netherlands. TELUS Spark Science Centre gratefully acknowledges APEGA for its generous support of AI: More Than Human.
