Sleepover Sleuth

Availability 

  • Sporadic evening shifts on certain Fridays and Saturdays 
  • Sleepover dates are: Feb 10, Feb 24, Mar 10, Apr 21
  • Shifts are 5:00 pm - 9:30 pm
  • Interviews will take place Mid-February

Position Description

Being able to experience a sleepover at a science centre or museum is a fond memory for many of us, and you can have your hand in creating new memories for the next generation! If you love working with children, but are unable to help out during the regular work week, we would love to have your fun, outgoing, and energetic personality!

 Key Responsibilities

  • Work directly with sleepover guests visitors creating fun, memorable, safe, and educational sleepover experience
  • Assist with prep, set-up, and take down of sleepover activities
  • Assist sleepover staff with drop-in activitiesà this year the guests will be building Toy Mash-ups which are creations they build from taking apart old toys
  • Facilitate guests while they use the exhibit galleries
  • Develop a positive, fun environment for sleepovers

Skills 

  • A passion for working with Children and Youth
  • Highly positive and enthusiastic style, capable of motivating others
  • Excellent people and group management skills
  • Previous  experience working with kids is an asset

Requisites

  • Police clearance
