Park Nights at TELUS Spark

August 4, 2016
Posted By: TELUS Spark

Summer 2016 is officially here! The days in Calgary are getting longer and Calgarians have more hours of sun to enjoy the beautiful warm weather and open blue skies.

To take advantage of our Alberta summers, The Brainasium outdoor park at TELUS Spark will be open late on Wednesday evenings until the end of August.

After the rest of the building closes, the park will stay open until 8 p.m. Join us to play, climb the slide and explore outside. Here are our top tips for Park Nights at TELUS Spark – hope to see you there:

1. Bring comfy clothes, sunscreen and water!

Our summers get warm and Park Nights are great for running and playing. Dress everyone in clothes that are ready for moving and bring water to stay hydrated.

2. If the weather is looking unpredictable, check online to see if Park Nights will still be on.

The weather in Calgary varies and can sometimes be pretty intense. We want to make sure everyone has a fun, safe time playing outside so in the case of inclement or severe weather we might have to cancel. Connect with us on social to have the most up to date news. We’ll let you know what the verdict is.

3. Bring snacks or a picnic dinner

Park Nights are the perfect opportunity to pack a picnic dinner and eat outside while enjoying the sun. If you’re in a rush we also recommend checking out the market and restaurants in Bridgeland where you can pick up some delicious treats.

4. Tickets can be purchased online

If you like to plan, tickets can be purchased online here. Or if coming out to Park Nights makes for a great spontaneous adventure you can just head over to TELUS Spark and pick up a ticket at the front desk.

5. Explore everywhere

We have a slide and it’s giant and well loved. But there is so much more to explore in our outdoor spaces.  We know that spending time outside is important for childhood development, it allows children to work on physical literacy and develop lifelong habits for wellness.  Giving children a large area to roam also sets children up to invent their own games, activate their imaginations and deepen social and emotional development.

We hope you’ll come join us and spend some time outside in our Brainasium for Park Nights
